More Info and each generations’ members of the Morning Musume – HERE

Probably the most noticeable in the Morning Musume’s first generation. She often took the lead in its songs, on occasion singing the entire lead vocal with the other girls acting as backup singers. In 2004, she graduated from the group to pursue a solo career.

The other noticeable girls in the group include Yaguchi Mari, Aya Matsuura, Maki Goto, Ishikawa Rika and Takahashi Ai.

In early 2007, Abe was chosen to be a member of Morning Musume Tanjo 10 Nen Kinentai – a unit created to celebrate Morning Musume’s 10th anniversary as a group. Morning Musume Tanjo 10 Nen Kinentai also consists of Kaori Iida, Maki Goto, Risa Niigaki and Koharu Kusumi. Their first single, “Bokura ga Ikiru MY ASIA”, was released on January 24, 2007.

I’m a big Konno fan but since she’s graduated I’ve gravitated toward Kusumi. She has a savvy attitude and has used other art forms, like anime, to enhance her marketability. Just hope she stays around for a while and won’t fly the Momusu coop any time soon!
