2007 Idol Scholar Ranking

This is an idol popularity poll ranked according to age: U-15 = 15 and under, U-20 = 16 thru 20, U-25 = 21 thru 25. There’s 300 girls ranked in each group.

Erika Sawajiri tops the chart, the wonderful actress of “1 Litre of Tears” and “Taiyou no Uta” deserved the fame. But she shouldn’t be in this chart already.. she’s 21 now!

Ai-chan drops position from 70th to 88th in the U-20 (Under 20) charts. But I believe she will rise to top 50 in the next poll! Yui Aragaki gets into the top 10, Cheers! I love her! And Keiko rising star (I guess she will be in top 20 next year)!

A little over a year ago (October 2006), an Idol Scholar Ranking Poll spread out amongst the fans showed the top 300 japanese female idols. At that time, with just Mamiya Kyoudai, The Fast and the Furious: Tokyo Drift, Mizu ni Sumu Hana, and Pretty Guardian Sailor Moon under her belt–for her age group, Keiko ranked 51 and her fellow Dear Friends co-star Yuika Motokariya, ranked 63. The list included fellow PGSM stars Ayaka Komatsu at 35 and Miyuu Sawai at 55, Sono Kare co-star Masami Nagasawa at 2, Mamiya Kyoudai co-star Erika Sawajiri at 3, fellow ST model Nana Eikura at 7, and fellow former ST model Emi Suzuki at 86. That’s not even half of many names of recognizable stars, many of which ended up being co-stars with Keiko who ranked below or above her. At that time, considering the fact that Keiko had done next to nothing in her career (most of the stars above her were in multiple dramas and had their names attached to commercials and promotional videos) Keiko’s ranking of 51 out of 300 was AMAZING!
